News for June 2025

The annual Small Boat Rally on the Arun from Pulborough organised by the Wey & Arun Canal Trust takes place this year on Sunday June 29th. Because of the tides the start will not be until 1600 from the slipway at Swan Bridge. For details see their website in the “Newsletter” section labelled E-newsletter, and reference the May edition.

Appropriately our June Postcard of the Month features a card of the Swan wharf which was kept as a reminder of a 3.5 hour trip on this part of the river in in August 1914, apparently as part of a Honeymoon. “A lovely time” was the comment.
